Bollywood actress Jiah Khan was born on February 20, 1988 in New York to actress Rabiya who brought her up single handedly. Jiah Khan majored in film studies and literature at the Lee Strasberg’s Institute in London. The greatest turning point in Jiah Khan’s life came when Ram Gopal Verma selected her as the lead heroine opposite Big B in the controversial film 'Nishabd'. Ram Gopal Varma directed 'Nishabd' and Jiah Khan instantly became one of the most sought after actress in Bollywood industry. The subject of the film was so sensitive and the portrayal of Jiah in that film was really eye catching and she proved herself with a stellar performance. Jiah rocked in the film and her bold performance became a nationwide sensation for the movie buffs. Jiah Khan also sang one of the songs “Take Lite” for 'Nishabd'.
